Chromium Zirconium Copper Alloy C18150
Chromium Zirconium Copper Alloy C18150 is a precipitation hardened copper alloy with high electrical and thermal conductivity combined with excellent hardness and good resistance to tempering. It cannot be case-hardened or nitrided. It is known to be the lowest cost commercially available electrode materials for spot-welding. As a mould material, it sets the standard for continuous casting as only chromium zirconium copper is able to attain the demand of high quality and high casting speed at economical costing.
APPLICATIONS
-
* Sealing tools, ingot, moulds or cooling inserts for them
-
* Shaping and cooling tools for plastic extrusion
-
* Ingot-moulds for gravity die casting of brass and copper
-
* Top crusts for centrifugal casting moulds for grey cast iron
-
* Application predominantly at low mechanical load where simultaneously very high
-
heat elimination is desired
* Electrodes and cap tips for spot welding as well as spark erosion
-
* Contact tips for MIG/MAG welding
-
* Components in electrical equipment under high stress conditions where high
-
electrical conductivity is needed
